The Island.

So last Thursday thru Sunday was my schools "winter break"
Basically its a free-be between Christmas & spring break.
It's pretty great,
not gonna lie.
My friend David invited a few of us down to his house in Galveston, Texas,
and his parents generously let us post up there.
I must say it's probably one of my most favorite cities I've ever been to.
It not only has the cutest downtown, beaches(the water is a little brown) & lots of history
I also met some amazing people that reside there.

(if you click on the pictures you can view them at a larger size)
We started out the trek the three of us just talking
and listenin to tunes
Stopped in Houston for a little shopping.

I'm stopping here the next time..

What a great beard. Holla.
Once we reached Galveston it wasn't too long until we loaded back up to get some dinner.
Unfortunately I totally forgot the camera,
but once we were done eating we drove back to David's house to pick it up so we could take pictures downtown.
They're kinda blurry but Galveston's downtown is just too awesome not to show.

the gang.
The Strand.

Oh, and it was Mardi Gras so there were venders set up in the street.
We went so late though, everyone was packed up.

It was funny to me to see so many palm trees
 everywhere
I love dragons.
Opera House that has been around since the 1800's

Some ally
Oh the south..
Statue by the beach c/o Ramon aka Poka
After the first night there the camera died..
Soo disappointing!!!
The last night was amazing,
David had a birthday party/ bike ride
and then we spent the entire night just hanging out and making memories
(that night was a blast)
we didn't leave until after the sun rose.

Thanks to all the people I met those few days
and to David's family for letting us stay with them:)
Can't wait to visit again..
xo. Alexandra
