The first graphic novel that I ever read.

I read it in one day, 

and only stopped to eat.

(literally)

It's her story of growing up in Iran during the Islamic Revolution,

It depicts her life at home 

in contrast to the radical Islamic rules that were being enforced outside of their home.

All the while, 

showing the pains and joys of the journey.

I never thought I would love a book with pictures

this much!
